The Regional Relays for U7 - U17's
The Regional Relays are open to all Athletes from the U7 - U17's and are the same as all other Association Regional Days in that they primarily provide friendly Regional Competition for all and in addition are the means for qualifying for the State Relay Championships. Regional track and field relays are provided for, with the track teams comprising of 4 athletes and field teams comprising of pairs of nominating athletes.
U7 & U8's who participate do not progress past Regional level, however they do receive a participation medallion. Teams from the U9 - U17 age groups that place 1st - 3rd will be eligible to progress to the McDonald's State Relay Championships. For more details about the State Relays use this link.
There are no finals at Relays competition, placing's are decided by the time and/or total distances recorded in the "heats". Each athlete may nominate to participate in a maximum number of 5 events at the Regions but can participate in 6 events on the day.

U7 - 4x70m, Long Jump, Discus
U8 - 4x100m, Long Jump, Discus
U9 - 4x100m, 4x200m, Shot Put, Discus, High Jump
U10 - 4x100m, 4x200m, Shot Put, Long Jump, High Jump
U11 - 4x100m, Track Medley, Long Jump, Discus, Shot Put
U12 - 4x100m, Track Medley, Long Jump, High Jump, Discus
U13 - 4x100m, Track Medley, Discus, Shot Put, High Jump
U14 - 4x100m, Track Medley, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put
Nominations are submitted through our Centre. At Bli Bli we will ensure every athlete who wishes to attend is placed in at least 1 track team (but we aim for 2 track teams) and will be nominated in all the available field events for their age group.
